Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat on Tv Derana at 8.30pm?

Ok guys a new drama is on its way. The Lord Buddha series on Derana is ending. The new drama is about Ashoka the Great.This is the Great King who spread Buddhism to Sri Lanka and Asia. The new story is a very nice depiction of the Great King Ashoka. The cast includes Siddharth Nigam who was in Dhoom 3 as the magician's two sons. He is a very good actor for his 15 years. This drama therefore will be a must watch.

Ashoka the Crown Prince

The story line is of how King Ashoka became an Emperor of the whole Indian sub continent. How he became a blood thirsty King who searched for more land and power until he saw the truth of life.The truth of life came in the form of Buddhism.

Asoka the Great.

 After this he spreads Buddhism all over Asia and even to Greece.He sends his son and daughter Mahinda Thero and Sangamitha Theraniya to spread Buddhism in his friend's country - Sri Lanka. After our King Devanampiya Tissa became a Buddhist, from then on Sri Lanka became the Guardian of Theravada Buddhism.

As you all know Tv Derana is known to show 100% child friendly dramas which are very good. I like to take this moment to tell them to keep up there good work. After Shri Gautum Sambuddha ends which will  be in a few weeks time  - most probably. So lets us all enjoy a very good historical drama. I was actually waiting till this drama was brought to Sri Lanka. I just hope that they show Ashoka
