50000 views reached - Thank You :)

3:37 AM 0 Comments

I came online simply to thank everyone who tuned into my little blog to read my drama reviews. In the recent years this blog has become a part of me and a daily inspiration. Its success motivated me to work harder and harder. So today with my hard work and your continuing support my blog has reached 50000+ views! This is one of the many happy moments of my life and I thank you all for reading my blog and for the continuing support shown through Google Plus.

So I haven't been on my Blog for sometime and I am so sorry for that. With law and a very tight schedule I have very little time for anything else other than studies and television. I also know that one of these days I will have to give up my blog for a few months and then start all over again like I did when I had my O/L's.

My blog has articles on most of the dramas I watch regularly and what I ave watched online. In the last few months the most famous post with over 7000 views was  My Love From Another Star. There is of course other posts such as ones on Wassane Premaya which attract at least 100+ views for each review.

Once again thank you very much for this support. My blog will never be this successful without your support. More posts will be posted in the coming months. Currently I am planning to watch Beautiful You and Love Rain and their reviews would be put up soon. Moreover the latest series of spoilers on Me Adarayai 2015 is still been written. However I am sorry to say that Sujatha reviews may not be put up until later as right now I have given up on it. Wassane Premaya review number 11 and 12 will come combined as with this degree I am doing weekly writing is getting harder and harder but do not worry I will continue to post as much as possible. A review on latest KDramas and an upcoming Sri Lankan drama will be put up as soon as possible :)

I also have to say that the reaction to this blog by fans has been mainly positive. I am however sorry that I can not cater to all your needs. I cannot watch all the dramas on tv and review them as I too have a life. Many fans have been unreasonably rude when I replied saying that I cannot review their drama because I don't have enough time :) Some have even pointed out that characters spoken of in my blog are just fictitious and for me to stop talking about them as if they are real life characters :) Anyhow I have to say that I thank all of my fans, those who said positive and negative things about my blog and everyone else. I hope you all join with me as I celebrate my blog reaching a small milestone and continue to extend your loving support :) Stay tuned to Sri Lanka's premier Entertainment blog to know the latest on dramas shown in Sri Lanka.
Thank You all for ur support :)

Bidam – Janahithakami Rajiniya/ Queen Seondeok

8:28 AM 1 Comments

In Bidam we come across a Silla era tragic hero. He is the hero of the story to some extent but due to one single mistake on his part his whole life turns around. The fault wasn’t one he makes but was something that was in him and that was his love for Deokman. His love for Deokman makes him do things which were not quite right.

When we first come across Bidam he is a playful, arrogant, hot tempered chicken lover. He was everything that Yushin was not. He had no such responsibilities, cared nothing and had a cunning mind. His playfulness and hilarious jokes usually made our day. I mean he was one of the main Hawarangs with a sense of humor.  To add to this I loved his bad boy style. He never bent down before anyone or anything. He made his own decisions and killed anyone he wanted. He had no sense of responsibility at the beginning and was pretty much never serious. He is someone who will be digging his nose in the most crucial battle but end up becoming the hero.  Since he had no such thing as obligations there was an air of calmness around him and when he comes on screen you kind of feel that the worst was over.

He is sooo cute :) Bidam's the best.
This calmness I am talking about is not the kind Yushin has but something less serious and less showing. I also loved the fact that he had this chumminess with everyone around him even when it came to Deokman. His endless happiness and boyishness made us feel happy and fall in love with him. Yet in the end Bidam was nothing more than a tragic hero.

It seems as if his kick ass style that actually made all the audiences love him. Kim Nam Gil’s extremely flexible face when it came to funny but sexy expressions made us love Bidam more and I am sure Deokman loved him for that too. However at times I was afraid of him because of the way his mind goes along with that of Mishil’s. The moment he starts to think like her his whole personality changes and he becomes a part of Mishil. At times I feel that it was a son like Bidam whom Mishil always wanted behind her. If Bidam was on Mishil’s side then she would have become the Queen. Anyhow it is Mishil and her connections which destroy Bidam. Her cronies cause a misunderstanding between Bidam and Deokman which drifts them apart. At the end of it we see the two lovers waging war against each other and each making very hard decisions.

When Deokman and Bidam wage war against each other Bidam still loves Deokman. He never stops loving her, he loved her till his very last breathe and Deokman knows this. His wages war against Deokman not because he is angry with her but because he wanted her next to him. He thought that by being the King of Silla he would be able to let Deokman have her freedom and be with him. Anyhow things do not go according to plan His last words whispered into Alcheon’s ear are D-e-o-k-m-a-n, D-e-o-k-m-a-n, and D-e-o-k-m-a-n.

In the end the fact they were sons and daughters of the wrong people destroyed their relationship. Deokman knows that Bidam loves her and because of Bidam’s death she too dies of that grief. In the end Bidam becomes the tragic hero but I have to say that the way he died and what he did all the while just won my heart over. His commitment, his love, his loyalty and his playfulness was just too much to forget. Kim Nam Gil is at the end of the day one of the best actors I have seen in the KDrama world.  His has done justice to Bidam’s character and for that and his sexy looks J I have to say hats off to him J J J J J J
Love Bidam's look - so cute :)

Bidam & Deokman – Janahithakami Rajiniya

8:21 AM 1 Comments

Destined to be together, yet destiny pulls them apart.

Bidam and Deokman was pretty much the “it couple” through out Queen Seondeok/ Janahithakami Rajiniya. Of course there was the occasional “Yushin – Deokman” fever and half the time we hated the fact that Bidam came in between them in the first place. However Deokman and Yushin both gave each other up for the benefit of the nation. If their marriage was to be then Deokman would never have been able to be Queen. On the other hand Yushin would obviously been stuck between his loyalty to the people of Kaya and his citizens of Silla if he became the new King. So everyone could agree that both of them gave up their love for the love of their nation.

Bidam when it comes to this drama is a young, playful hooligan. However in reality Bidam was an elderly nobleman for Silla who was a misogynist. If records are right he was a famed martial artist and was very much against Queen Seondeok and thus waged war against her. Anyhow in Janahithakami Rajiniya is a young man who is only a few years older than Deokman herself.  He is everything Yushin is not and sometimes his thinking is dangerously like his mother Mishil’s. Maybe his is what attracted him to Deokman. He was this bad boy general who was always informal even with the Queen/Princess. I mean even I am attracted to his hot temper, arrogance and playfulness but mind you it is a dangerous combination.

Deokman is a woman with an aim and ability. Her responsibility is her country and her people but yet in Bidam she finds a lover, a companion and a trusted friend. This is not to mention how good these two look together. They were of course destined to be together. Others would even point out they were made for each other. As pointed out by General Mun Noh the initial plan was to marry both these two together and make them King and Queen. Anyhow as always plans don’t go as they are supposed to.

Bidam’s love and support however makes Deokman a stronger woman. Bidam’s ability to read others and his extremely sharp martial art skills do help Silla a lot. This of course lead him o be named the Prime Minister and this meant more time with the Queen. If things went well of course Queen Seondeok would have given up the throne in due time and got married to Bidam. However destiny intervenes. They are destined to be together but it is this same destiny which pulls them apart.

A few misunderstandings caused by Mishil’s followers caused Bidam to misinterpret that the Queen wants him dead. He under this false knowledge wages war against Deokman. This is not because he hates Deokman but because he loves her. He wanted to take over Silla and become King then he would make Deokman his Queen and he believed things would become better. Only later does he know that it was all a misunderstanding but by then it is too late to turn back. He comes before the Queen and right before her he is killed by Alcheon and Yushin. His parting words being “D-e-o-k-m-a-n” whispered into Alcheon’s ear.  Hearing this Deokman too dies out of grief and their love story ends.

What separated Deokman and Bidam was their destinies. It was who they were and where they came from that divided them up. If Bidam was never Mishil’s son but the son of a nobleman or if Deokman was never a princess then they would have ended up together forever.  If Mun Noh’s plan was carried out by Sowha then of course Deokman and Bidam would have been together but destiny had other things for them and they had to sacrifice themselves for it. At the end of the day this is one of the most tragic love stories I have seen in a Historical KDrama and I still feel sad when I watch these two even now, even after 5 years after first watching it. So guys get some buckets because I assure you, all of you are going to cry buckets and buckets after Janahithakami Rajiniya ends. J J J J J J

Revenge Story – Wassane Premaya Week 10

1:12 AM 0 Comments

Week: October 12th – October 16th

“WTF week” is what I really wanted to write (extremely sorry for my French) but I played it safeJ . Well didn’t I tell all of you guys out there that this was going to happen? I just knew this whole thing was going to happen simply because the “O I love you Astha” was way too fast for me. So as a Shakespeare fan, this drama is going from Romeo Juliet to Othello! So let’s just see what the hell happened this week which pretty much made the drama way better than it was ever!!!

Astha and Aditya's relationship is pretty much OVER...
The OMG we could sleep together thing actually got us all hyped us for a fun filled sexy honeymoon and at the very climax of it…it just came falling down with a BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!! As an audience we were just too shattered to even know what happened properly. When Aditya threw away Astha’s wedding necklace and ring it was pretty much amounted to throwing away all the hope we had in Aditya and the A&A couple. Now when I think of it Astha’s mother’s fears were all real fears. She kind of unconsciously saw through Aditya’s entire facade. I kind of feel bad for Astha and how her whole life is going to be a living hell after this.

Feel so sorry for Astha :(
On the other hand Viraj’s “shit I lost my sim card with Asha’s number!”  storyline kind of released my stress because I wanted Pramila to get hurt badly. I just don’t like how her character is developing. She has this jealousy, anger and greed with is just disgusting. As far as I am concerned I love Asha and want Pramila kicked out of the house as fast as possible. I just want Viraj to continue to just cheat on Pramila because she deserves it. I believe the most hurtful moment for her was when Viraj said “Aditya is so lucky to have a wife like Astha”.  Of course we all wish that Aditya knew how lucky he was but lets just wait and see.

It was all a pretense!!!!

So many people actually like this new Wassane Premaya track while others show their concern but I actually love this new track. Yes of course you have all the right to call me insane but I have my reasons. This new track will give the raw flesh to the basic skeleton given to us by the screen writers in the first 100 episodes. Now we can all watch Aditya fall for Astha very slowly. We will also see Astha’s hate for Aditya will grow daily. Later on when Aditya really loves Astha then he will have to prove that he had actually changed. Hell! He may have to fall on his knees and beg for her mercy and save her life from death or something to prove his love. Omg!!! It’s all going to be one hell of a ride for us when they do actually fall in love and all. In the end it will be a fusion between YHM, Jodha Akbar, Full House & Playful Kiss and it’s all going to be awesome.
So angry with Aditya

OMG WEEK-Wassane Premaya Week 8- 9

9:33 AM 0 Comments

Weeks: September 28th 2015 – October 9th 2015

OMG what a lot happen these two weeks. I am so sorry guys that I couldn’t post this review sooner. This was all because of the Common Law exams coming up and I am very sick and all that. Enough about my pitiful state lets get to week 8 & 9’s juicy review. J

Well our A&A (Astha & Aditya) couple were extremely happy now that they could “sleep together” (lol don’t get your imaginations running, it’s just an innocent remark). Finally we will get some cute sexy scenes other than just trouble. Seriously guys I am being very critical here. This whole week and week 8 was just trouble and trouble and more trouble. At the end of the week my mom quite truthfully pointed out that this drama was just soo annoying with all this trouble. It seems our loving screenwriters are watching Indian dramas on the sly. PS dear screen writers stick to East Asian drama (Korean, Chinese, and Thailand etc) if you want to get more views on this drama.

So in week 8 we see Sonali taking an overdose of sleeping pills (as in suicide). Then Asha of all people becomes a victim of a hit and run case. All the hell breaks open in our A& A worldL. Akila the bastard brings in this hideous plan to kidnap Sonali from the hospital and Viraj is torn between his sister and Asha. Yes, our screen writers are watching Kum Kum Bagya or something.

Anyhow this week we did see a glimpse of “good Pramila”. It all happened after Sonali came from hospital. She tells Pramila that she is sad that Astha and Aditya cannot stay in that same room. A sneaky but sweet smile comes on Pramila’s face and she tells Sonali a secret (This was so sweet of Pramila).  I think the screen writers may bring in a loving, sweet Pramila who will be very good with all the family. This would make the drama very very interesting J

Malini’s story also takes a different take. It seems she is a battered wife. Just because Sonali tried to commit suicide (due to Malini’s bitchy mouth), Malini gets hammered by her husband. No, I don’t think she deserved this. This was very wrong, as far as I believe a man who hits a woman is an animal and not a man. So the screenwriters are showing what a dog Mr. Danthanarayana is.

Next comes the best part of this week. This was when A&A were told they could sleep together (no pun intended). OMG the happiness shown by them and Sonali was just so sweet to watch. The last time I was as happy as Sonali was when Sri Lanka won the T20 World CupJ. Even Aditya and Astha notice this extreme happiness. I hope that the screen writers don’t screw this relationship up cause I love this sister – brother – sister in law relationship. J

So the whole of next week is full of Astha being teased over her “pending pregnancy”J.  Something to note is that Astha and Aditya would be caught in the whole “who caused Asha’s accident”.  Then of course Viraj will be torn between brotherly love and love for Asha and most probably the whole of Danthanarayana family will get destroyed and torn apart. So let’s meet next week with another review of Wassane Premaya J J J J J J
