The Horse Doctor.

The Horse doctor is a Korean Drama which was shown In Korea in 2011 and ended in 2012. It follows the story of a young man who is a horse doctor but later goes on to be the Royal Physician. It’s a story that any fan of K- drama should watch and especially if you were a fan of Dae Jang Guem,Yi San and Dong Yi you’ll love this. It’s just 50 episodes so anyone who wants to watch it can watch it online on YouTube with English subtitles.

 Of course this story is far more hilarious than Dae Jang Guem and Dong Yi since there are so many funny things happening especially between the main actor and the Princess and her cat. 

If you have watched Dong Yi you’ll find similarities between King Sukjong and the King in this they are very casual in a way. The love story between Baek Gwang-hyeon acted by Jo Seung-woo  and Kang Ji-nyeong acted by Lee Yo-won is really cute. Unlike other Historical Korean Dramas such as the Great Merchant Kim Man Deok the story ends happily to and it has that kind of plot where you can’t wait till the next episode.  The good thing here is that if you miss an important episode you could always read it on DramasROK and their narrative is very interesting with snapshots of the episodes also.

The villain in this story is a very complicated character who becomes bad from his own choices but tries to do all he can to his best friend’s daughter Ji-nyeong whose father was killed due to the villains wrong doing.

For Sri Lankans the show is shown on Rupavahini from 6.30 to 7.30 on wards under the name Isiwara Vethaduru (The doctor who performs miracles). It is a real eye opener to all the hardhearted doctors worldwide who think about money before their patients. This would be a perfect story for all those people out there who love horses because the story starts and ends with them.
