# K-Drama

Ananthayen Aa Tharu Kumara – 1st week review

This week was just awesome and I am officially a lifetime Kim Soo Hyun fanJ. So let’s see how well the KDrama did this week.  Firstly I have to say that this drama drew in the crowds and everyone is now in love with Do Min Jo and Song Yi. Have to point out that they are such a cute couple and I cannot wait to see how their love story starts.

Do Min Jo fever :)
To start with I have to tell you guys I have watched this drama online when it first came out back in 2013. So I kind of know what is happening and who is who. The dubbing by Sirasa is done really well and I have to praise them for that. Of course there were flaws in some character dubbing but come on they are not Rupavahini. We have to agree that the best dubbing is done by Rupavahini as they have years of experience. I really liked Do Min Jo’s voice in this drama though; it suits Kim Soo Hyun oppa well.

Our lovely Song Yi
The storyline is also attractive and so is Song Yi. She just has that “Wow factor” and she is so beautiful. For this those of you who are confused Song Yi is the girl Do Min Jo has been finding for the last 400 years. She was just 15 years in the Joseon era and that’s when she falls in love with Do Min Jo who arrives on Joseon as an alien. She dies while she tried to save Do Min Jo and he never was able to get over that grief.

Kim Soo Hyun is so cute in traditional Korean costume :)
Again in the modern era Do Min Jo a doctor sees visions of a young woman about to be killed. This girl is Song Yi and she is about to meet an accident.  Do Min Jo saves her and thus he becomes young Song Yi’s first love and she never fell in love again. Do Min Jo saw her then but never again. Now he just has three months to live on Earth and of course he wants to meet her.

Song Yi on the other hand survived a bad childhood with her parent’s divorce and became a successful actress. She has a little brother who is the one who stops his friends from editing Song Yi’s photo and made it look as though she was wearing nothing. After their family split up they never had much contact but they really love each other.

I liked the fact that Sirasa had kept the original KDrama background music without changing it. The theme song music by Sirasa was very good but I liked the KDrama music better. However Sirasa TV should do some Sinhalese interlude songs for this drama. Rupavahini did it and their interlude songs for Isiwera Wedaduru (Muthu Mithuri, Kuhubuwak) and Dong Yi (Me Kandu Yayama) became quite famous. Moreover Boys Over Flowers interlude songs too became pretty famous (Ma Samagin Ma desa bala, Sonduru Dawasaka Munagasi).

Sinhalese theme song VS the Korean theme song..

In the end this drama is just so cute. I feel sad that Do Min Jo will have to watch his love ones grow old and die in front of him just because he is an alien. Do Min Jo is just a wee bit stiff and hardhearted but no worries Song Yi’s playfulness will make him so cute.  I hope that Sirasa TV will follow the footsteps of TV Derana and not cut all the cute scenes. That sexy washroom scene of Do Min Jo did show us that Sirasa is going to do just thatJ. So lets meet again in another review, no worries I promise I wouldn’t give any spoilers what so ever J J J J J J.
