Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D on Hiru tv soon

Hello guys here is another epic tv series to be shown on Hiru tv soon. I think it will start this Sunday at 8.30pm. I loved Strike Back with Richard Armitage - Season 1 and Philip Winchester in Season 2 with Sullivan Stapleton.  They were and awesome team and the story line was so engaging. However now since Season 4 - Shadow Warfare is coming to an end. Of course its season 5 the final season is coming out this year....ya I am a huge fan of action I even watched The Unit- I loved that too.

Anyway Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D starts after these last few episodes of Strike Back after Kamali dies. It will be shown at 8.30pm on Hiru Tv. It is one awesome series and will remind you of the Avengers.Also  Brett Dalton acts in it as Grant Ward the traitor Hydra member.

Arnav and Khushi

This drama is one of those happy ending sweet and short dramas. The English title of this drama is What Name Should This Love Be Given? It is a bit like Full House where a couple marry on contract. I this drama the girl Khushi marries Arnav because he thinks she is going to destroy his sister's marriage. He threatens her that if she doesn't agree that he will destroy Khushi's sister's marriage.


The evil character in this drama is called Shyam. He is Anjali's husband. He has a lust for Khushi and almost goes to marry her but she stops it when she gets to know that he is married. Khushi works at Arnav's company and she is very happy until Anjali calls her to teach Arnav's wife to be how to be a good traditional daughter in law.

However Khushi and the girl get into a sisterly bond. In the house Arnav and Khushi slowly fall in love and they don't want admit it. Arnav on purpose hurts Khushi and Khushi is helpless.



With time they admit to each other that they are in love. Arnav after the contract period remarries Khushi. The y have may obstacles i front of them but they face them successfully and live happily ever after....Watch this on Shakthi Tv at 6.30pm on weekdays. It just has 398 episodes and is worth the watch. I would recommend to you as much as Yeh Hai Mohabbatien....However the drama is dubbed in Tamil but subtitles are in Sinhalese. So anyone could watch this...a must watch Love Story....

Boys Over Flowers on Tv Derana Again!!!!!

Hello guys I am here again to bring you the latest entertainment news in Sri Lanka. This time it is very good news. Tv Derana has decided to show Boys Over Flowers again from the 9th of May, every Saturday from 10am to 11am. It is really awesome news.  I know many people who missed Jandi’s and Gu Jun Pyo’s love story because of classes and so this is the chance for you.  Boys Over Flowers went viral in Sri Lanka especially after Jandi’s flying kick.

It was shown in Sri Lanka before the Heirs and was a big success.  I brought the 2nd Korean Wave to Sri Lanka, especially when it came to modern Korean High School Drama. It tells us not to judge people based on their actions because they might have a hidden story as in the case of Jun Pyo.


Through this drama we go through school life all over again with the crushes, the snobs, fights and trips. This drama shows youth at its best as far as I am concerned. For those who are unfamiliar with the story – though I doubt there are any- here is a bit of it…
Jandi is a young poor girl. She helps running her parent’s laundry business. Everything changes the day she saves the life of a young Shinwa High student. Shinwa is one of the most prestigious schools in Jandi’s Korea. Overall she is a fun loving girl who takes nothing serious. Also she is some kind of a trained fighter as she never gives up a good fight and moreover she hates the F4. This is until she has a crush on F4’s Ji Hoo and later falls in love with F4 leader Gu Jun Pyo the heir of the Shinwa Group – ya he owns the school.

The F4 consists of Gu Jun Pyo – rough, hard hearted, arrogant and snobbish leader and future Heir to the Shinwa Group – yet has a softer side and a set of dark secrets- overall he will be the dream lover of any girl…played by Lee Min Ho – he played Kim Tan in The Heirs.

Yoon Ji Hoo – He is Jandi’s adopted oppa (brother). She loves him so much and Ji Ho oppa loves her but gives her up for his best friend Gu Jun Pyo. Both Jun Pyo and Ji Ho have a cute bromance also… they are best friends ever. Ji Hoo is emotional and loving and has a bad past with his parent’s death and all.


Soo Yi Jung and Woobin - Yi Jung is played by Kim Beom – same actor who acts in Goddess of Fire as Kim Tae Doe. He is the F4’s playboy.  Has a womanizing father and we know little of his father. He falls head over heels in love with Ga el who is Jandi’s best Friend.  Woobin is the single guy. He is connected to the underworld. The thugs call him the Prince and are afraid of him. Both these characters are best buds and they would give their life for each other. Both of them love Jandi as a sister and have a brotherly concern while also being darn protective.

So hope you guys watch Tv Derana’s Boys Over Flowers. I am sure going to after exams. It starts on the 9th of May at 10am and finishes at 11am. It consists of about 90 something episodes but each very entertaining. Let s all see and enjoy the love story of Gu Jun Pyo and Jandiya’s (That is what Jun Pyo calls Jandi). Don’t forget to fall in love with Gael’s and Yi Jung’s love story too. Hope you get a hell of a High School ride through this epic K Drama..

Me Adarayai Raman to take Isitha's side against Shagun

OK I come with spoilers... Lots of Sri Lankans are frustrated with last weeks episode but wait things will get better.. ok this is what will happen to make things better.

Ohhh this one is coming soon...cute:)

Well Isitha calls her lawyer and files a case against Shagun. Raman gets pissed off but the whole Balhar family stands up against him even Mihir. Raman's mother encourages Isitha to file the case.
After sometime Shagun tells Raman that it was Adi who did the accident and not Shagun. Adi says if you don't take mama's side I will go on and tell everyone that I did the accident.... Raman says ok.
Paramith gets to know this and shows Isitha through his plan that Adi did the accident. The Balhar family are shocked.... They tell Isitha to stop the case.


Raman tells the court that he was with Shagun on the day the accident happened but Mihir says no. Isitha is hurt...Somehow with time Raman sees that what he is doing is wrong and tells Isitha sorry.


The court takes the case to juvenile court. Shagun tells that Isitha did this. Balhars scold Isitha. Rama comes and says no I said that Adi did the accident. As a good father I should show that what he did was wrong. Isitha smiles.....Things turn out good and Adi is taken away from Shagun...Raman tries to take Isitha on a romantic dinner but the whole family comes.....they get lost half way through only Raman and Isitha....

Daskon episode 52 recap

Hello people. Welcome to another one of my recaps. Well my family is finding houses I am studying my ass off. Well first I am shocked at what happened in Nepal. RIP for the 2000+ people who died due to that earthquake. My heart felt condolences to all the family members. May the Triple Gems guard those who survived this earthquake. Also my deepest condolences to a friend of mine who’s father departed.  May he be born in a better palace in his next life and so may it be for all the victims of the Nepal earthquake. The next big thing in Sri Lanka is the Kurunagala rally. Also good news as Kushal Janith is in good form but hey we are loosing test status...Ahhhhh... Did u guys hear Navin Dissanayaka? He is like if an interim committee was there before why can’t I have one now… OMg what a fool. In 2012 ICC banned Interim committees’ idiot!!!!! Ahg this is Yahapalanaya? Putting people who don’t know basic rules of ICC and for godsake does he even know where the onside is? Put me as the minister of sport I know more than him!!!!!!

Now to the recap:

 
The Catholic Father gets an advisory post.. 
The Catholic priest and the First Consort’s father are given positions in the council. The Catholic priest is given an advisory post –one of the highest of its time. The father is given another main post.  Everyone is shocked. All the ministers watch the King go. They all stare at the King’s throne. Time passes…………………..5 years after the decision is shown…
 
Daskon listens to all this...
The Palace is shown the guards are guarding the main gates.  The scene changes to the King’s favorite river. The assistant like a Veda stands watching it. He catches a fish. He then goes towards the forest and kills a rabbit he takes both to their hid out. As soon as he tries to kill the rabbit the astrologer says let this sinner die and burn in hell.  The assistant gets angry. The astrologer then tells Bana about how Lord Buddha was born as a rabbit in a former life. The assistant looks at the cute rabbit (we have wild rabbits in our village in Matara- they are so cute). He lets it go.  The astrologer chants the five prefects. Panathi patha weramani sitha pathan samathiyani…. The rabbit happily runs away.

The King’s grandfather from his mother’s side is doing a Hindu puja on a boy.  He is the First Queen Consort’s brother? He is going to the temple for his education.

On the other hand the Noble Lady’s Little Prince is worshiping his mother saying the gatha. He then explains the meaning of it. He then turns towards the Palace which is like 100 kilometers away from their home. He says the gatha for the father while worshiping that side. It is so cute as he has a lisp as he is small and cute.  He then worships his grandmother and runs towards his grandfather. His grandfather hugs him and says my little prince.  He then says that the little Prince should study and not become a Kundasala but become a Wimaladaramasuriya. The Noble Lady looks sad. The little Prince then says Kappitipola siyai, Wimaladaramasuriya siyai – siyai +siyai = desiyai. Ok we say siyai to hundred as well as for hundred so two siyai = to two hundred -this is a clever pun. Our little Prince is very clever. They get into a covered carriage as this is the Prince who is going and they then go to school/ temple to learn….to be continued….next week…

The gong is played. The good minister’s friend sees Daskon and the First Queen Consort having a lover’s talk – standing really close also. Saranakara Thero calls Young Kappitipola who has grown big and cute :)  The good minister says that it is time for Sarankara Thero to be introduced to the King. Hindu priests have started to sing in front of the Palace - Hindu’s in Sankadagala? Yah I know that is super abnormal. The astrologers come and complain that the Sangha are a headache for them and that they can’t live together. The good minister gets pissed off and says I hope that Buddhism will be safeguarded by this council. The good minister’s friend gets pissed off and tries to hit the astrologers – as usual J He reminds me of T.M Dilshan and the good minister reminds me of SangaJ

Daskon episode 51 recap

Hello people …I am back with my recap. I still haven’t got any answer for my request for an English recap of West Palace Korean Drama on ITN.  I am just saying consider it cause there is a demand for it. SL cricket is going to be banned well that’s Yahapalanaya for you guys. The CHANGE really helped didn't it...Thank god that Sanga and Mahela retired because I don’t want them to suffer. Fast and Furious 8 is coming out in 2017. Avengers is going to come out in sections like the Hobbit. Anyway the Avengers are to die at least in the comic. Then comes the NEXT Avengers with all the Avenger’s sons and daughters...Thor has a daughter named Thorun. The only avengers who survive are Hawkye, Thor, Hulk and Iron man. Ya that might sound like everyone to u guys but Marvel has so many Avengers in the comic version. Ah yes and Vision survives too.  One question I always wanted to ask Marvel was why they don’t have Black Panther in the Avengers. I mean his love for Storm and his son Arize is enough of a story line.  Anyway let’s get to biz…

Now to Recap:
The King and the First Queen Consort

The King tries to jump into the water. Daskon screams stop. The King screams why? Daskon says he saw a dragonfly fly on the water. The King gives him this look like WTF? Daskon says he can’t be on the surface of the water without dying. He gets into the water to investigate. He then sees all the sticks on the river bed which would kill anyone who jumps in. Daskon shows this to the King. Just the First Queen Consort’s foot is pulled from under the water by the assistant. Daskon carries her in his arms and carries her near the bank where he takes her into her arms as she is unconscious – cute scene.  Daskon orders the river and the river to be checked.  The soldiers jump in and the assistant is still under water breathing through a bamboo stick.

The Queen Consort is taken to the doctor the King watches on. Nothing is wrong with her she is only frightened. She wakes up to see the King next to her smiling. She wakes ups and says I am ok. She says I am happy that you are here with me. She takes her hand next to his. He slowly takes his hand away. The King says my shadow saved me. The Queen Consorts asks Daskon? The King says yes and tells her how the plan was to take place.

The Noble Lady gets up with a shock. Her servant tells her to sleep again. She tells her to tell her about this coup.  The servant repeats everything and she comes to the part where she says the First Queen Consort was also going to be killed. The Noble Lady doesn’t seem disturbed. The servant takes the noble Lady near her and tells her to keep her head on her shoulder. With this she chants Pirith to calm her down to sleep as she keeps sobbing and crying.
The ministers..



The Palace entrance is shown. The ministers are all in the Hall. Surprisingly the Catholic father is also there – Mmm..  The King keeps shouting saying that the ministers are trying to kill him. The MahaAdikaram says that is a lie. The King gets angry. The good minister wakes up and says My Lord it was also these ministers saved you both times. The King smiles and puts his hands on the good minister’s shoulders- he trusts the good minister. One of the ministers asks why the assassin was not caught. Daskon says that he was helping the First Queen Consort at that time. The good minister’s friend says well it seems well planned I am suspicious. The MahaAdikaram says mind what you says. The King goes near his throne and says I am going to make a change in this council. The Catholic father  and the First Queen Consort’s father gets up smiling and thanking….OMg what is going to happen…well wait for tomorrow’s recap…

Dubbing Artists of Sirimati Sitharawi on Iritha Ayubowan on 26th 8 am.

 Hello guys this week the dubbing artists behind Jung Yi are coming to Rupavahini’s Iritha Ayubowan at 8.00 am. All of you all know that Jung Yi would mean nothing to us if Jung Yi/ Goddess of Fire weren't dubbed in Sinhalese. Due to this anyone was able to watch Jung Yi even if you couldn't read Sinhalese subtitles.

The dubbing at Rupavahini and in general are very good as voices match the faces but however we do not appreciate their work enough.  Dubbing started at Rupavahini with Mr Titua Thotawatha or whom we as children  called "Tie Mama" who started dubbing cartoons such a Doctor Dolittle/ Dosthara Hodahitha.  That was the time when meaningful cartoons were show on television rather than dumb ones like Bheem or Ben 10. He also went on to dub Sri Lanka’s then favorite foreign drama Oshine.


Now the dubbing is taken over by Athula Ranasirilal who conducted dubbing for the famous Korean Drama Dae Jang Guem/ Sujatha Diyani. He went along to dub Dong Yi, Yi San, Diriya Diyani, Holy Pearl and of course  Isiwara Wedaduru/ Horse Doctor. He also conducts dubbing for Jung Yi.


So please watch the dubbing artists of Jung Yi on Iritha Ayubowan this Sunday at 8.00 am. Appreciate the dubbing artists of Sri Lanka.  They are so good that we will always that think of that voice with the Korean character.  The dubbing goes along with the actor’s/actress’s mouth. Our country’s dubbing is at such a high standard that it never sounds out of place and you imagine these characters speak Sinhalese. This s so unlike Chinese films dubbed in English So as I said time to appreciate the dubbing artists talent this Sunday 26th at 8 am on Rupavahini.

West Palace translation from Sinhalese to English need - help needed doing it...

Is there any one out there who understands Sinhala and is able to translate West Palace into English. Lots of people ask me to do it but I don't have enough time...If there is anyone out there who will be able to do this I will be so thankful...recaps should be done from episode 6... Just search Batahira Maligawa on ITN and the videos will come...If I didn't have Finals I would be doing this but well what to do....Just need to do recaps on a 30 min video every weekend two new videos would be added....it doesn't have to be very detailed ..just enough information for another person to understand what is going on...just send the recap and you name to janathriweeratunga@gmail.com ...... or else reply to this blog post...

Autumn in My Heart on ITN at 6.00 pm from today...

Guys Autumn in my heart is going to be shown on ITN after Full House. Ya true Full House is a huge hit in Sri Lanka but Autumn in my heart is a cute story. It follows a story where two girls are accidentally  exchanged at an hospital. One brother falls in love with his sister after knowing that she is not his sister. Its a very sad story - it will remind you guys about Walk to remember. Have to tell you guys though that this is a must watch K drama because it caused the Korean wave around the world.



It will be a good show but will you make you cry buckets. The love, the break up and death and crying. It would make you depressed in some sense. After all you will understand what true love is but yet it will make you question some things about it too. The overall end of the drama will sadden you- leaving you quite emotionally drained.

Well OK I admit it I watched it before when ITN showed it and I was so sad after it. I hate the way the characters suffered. Overall I'll say that this is a better drama the Chilwu the mighty. I'll give it 4 stars out of five on my KDrama rating s. Its a must watch. Just in a while a bit of sad drama may be good for your mind:-) I personally feel sad about when I think of this drama. However this is a must watch. It launched the Korean wave all over the world. The little girl in this drama is Jung Yi from Goddess of Fire.

Jodha Akbar on Hiru Tv at 8.00 pm on weekdays

Hello my Blog readers here is another drama you guys should watch. I know, I know I should be studying for my A/Ls but come on enjoy this.


Jodha Akbar is the love story between Akbar the Mughal emperor and his Hindu Queen Jodha. This is a historical Indian Drama very much like Korean Historical dramas. Jodha is a Rajput Princess and she hates the Mughal's who conquer states and change Hindu's into Muslims. Everything changes when when her Kingdom is invaded by Mughal's and her brother's imprisoned.  She gives herself up as a bride to Jalal Ud - din aka Akbar.




Jalal then frees her brothers and makes her come to Agra. Her life becomes hell as she is now married to the same man whom she wanted to kill. However with time Jalal allows Jodha to follow her religion (Hinduism), worship Hindu Gods and celebrate her Hindu festivals. He slowly falls in love with Jodha and she in turn hates him. Anyhow with time Johda's hate slips away and she to falls in love with Jalal. She later gives birth to the next emperor Jahangir.



 This drama is developed by Balaji Telefilms and is created and produced by Ekta Kapoor. Yes she is the same girl who produces Yeh Hai Mohabbatien and Kumkum Bhagya. This drama is shown on Hiru TV at 8.00 pm. If you guys watch Diya Aur Baati Hum/ Swapna at this time then you can watch Jodha Akbar from the beginning on Saturdays and Sundays at 6.00 pm.


 However if at this time watch West Palace or have tution classes then you could watch it online in Hindi or in Sinhalese. Hope you guys enjoy this show.....enjoy the most famous love story of Mughal era  as two arrogant Royals fall in love and face obstacles that try to break them up.

Ek Hasina Thi on Hiru Tv as Sulaga Wage Avidine

Hello guys there is a new promo on Hiru Tv always  and do you guys want to know what it is. Well no need to delay it is going to be Ek Hasina Thi. Yes the cute girl and sexy guy on a balloon.

This story is a suspense drama and has a romantic story arc also. The story is about Durga and her revenge plan against Shaurya. Her sister was raped by this guy and her whole aim is take revenge from him and his family. Of course she does not expect Shaurya and Dev his gentleman cousin brother to fall in love with her.

This story is very different to Swapna/Diya Aur Baati Hum or Yeh Hai Mohabbatien/ Me Adarayai. Anyway this would be a different experience for all of us as it only has 216 episode. In the end everyone is happy and some are put in jail. One warning I have to give  you guys is please do not fall for sexy Shaurya because he is not who it seems. If you want, fall in love with Dev because he is the good guy. There is not much love but it is cute to watch and if you have seen the promo then you will understand.

In the end Shaurya comes out of jail and we a left with a cliff hanger as we don't know whether Season 2 is coming. However this drama is loosely based on the Tv Series Revenge. Anyway have to tell you guys I have already fallen in love with Shaurya who is played by Vatsal Sheth.
The war is on...here comes Durga's revenge

The most possible time this drama will be shown is at 7.30 as Sneha has been running for a while. Hope you guys enjoy this drama as it is a good drama. It has love, marriage, conflict,happiness, sadness and revenge all with minimum Indian Melodrama - which is there in all Indian Dramas. Enjoy!!!!
