Week – July 25h
2016 – July 29th 2016
Hello guysJ. This week I have been SHERLOCKED.
Nope I am not talking about the escape the room gameJ. I have become an undying fan of
BBC’s Sherlock Holmes series. Omg I have always loved Benedict Cumberbatch straight
after August: Osage County. The high cheek bones and those “can be drowned” in
eyes do have a thingJ. Anyway it’s not his looks that I love about him. He is a talented actor and The Imitation Game is one of the best examples. Haha... ya
maybe I have become a Cumberbitch (BTW Benedict Cumberbatch hates his fans
calling themselves that). Anyways let’s keep aside my obsession over a totally cute,
high cheek boned Greek god called Cumberbatch and get to reviewing WPJ.
This week
was dramatic. It was a roadrunner as far as I believe. Firstly Aditya sees
Astha but then she is not herself. There is something distant in her, something
that detaches her from Aditya. I believe even Aditya feels the bad vide as I
like to call it. It is this bad feeling aka vibe that pushes Aditya to go after
Astha even after she came to the shopping mall with Malith. Aditya obviously has
the gut instinct that Malith had taken Astha from him, as I see it, he believes Astha
might have gone willingly for some unknown reason. He obviously doesn’t know that she had lost
her memory due to the accident she faced. She has now forever (I hope not) come
under the name Sneha and is the mother of Tharu and Hiru/ Chris Gayle. The look of pain in Aditya’s eyes was so raw
that it hurt to watch (Saranga is such a good actor). I just felt so bad for
Aditya right then (when he saw Astha happily living with Malith). The fact that
she slaps Aditya really did draw blood. I mean that was the climax, the
breaking point. I almost expected Aditya to say “Et tu, Astha!”(People who
haven’t read Shakespeare’s Julius Ceasar – just check on Google what this meansJ ).
Yes so at
this point even we are baffled as to why Astha betrayed Aditya. We are as much
in the dark as Aditya as to why Astha went with Malith. The simple answer was
quite obvious; she had lost her memory. Malith had brainwashed her so as to
make her believe that he is her husband. Any trace of Aditya has obviously been
erased or manipulated. Malith had almost
6 months during which Astha and Aditya were both in a coma state; the only
person who could trace Astha’s disappearance to Malith is Aditya. With Aditya
in a coma and the D’s not knowing where the hell Astha is; Malith had the
perfect opportunity to nab Astha. Maybe at the very beginning when Malith took
Astha to the hospital he mustn't have had any idea to kidnap her. The idea
most probably came around when the doctor said that Astha had lost her memory.
It feels
kind of sad that Malith actually feels he is doing the right thing; he believes
he has to do all this for his kids to have a mom and for him to get his true
love. Oh well, all is fair in love and
in war – isn't it? J. However I am on Aditya’s side and believe that he will get
Astha back and you don’t have to worryJ.
Now let’s
get to Akila’s interesting situation. He is very much stuck in between Malith
and Akila’s lover –S. It does seem that all this time Akila was just being
friendly with S and is not in love with her. On the other hand Akila’s mom
simply loves S and clearly wants Akila to marry her. Akila is of course in
another world. Malith is Akila’s first priority. Akila cannot just get away
from him because after all it’s Malith who bailed him out. If Akila ever moves
away from the bad guy image and marry S then Malith will most probably kill
both of Akila and S. If you guys are wondering why the hell Akila cannot keep
on being a bad guy and still marry S, it’s simply because he loves her. If
Akila keeps on being a bad guy its clearly not fair on S because her life will
be in danger.
So when S
tells Akila to choose between Malith and her, it is clearly a hard choice. BTW
I also want to point that Aditya’s relationship with everyone around him is
very strained. It does seem that without Astha, Aditya’s whole life is falling
apart. It can even be said that he is slowly becoming the old Aditya. The other
character that has turned a new leaf is Viraj. He has changed a lot and it is a
nice kind of change. I mean we saw it first hand when Viraj started to cry
after getting to know that Aditya woke up from his coma.
So guys this
is this week’s review. I am off to Matara in two days and I would not (most
probably) be able to write regularly. I am going there to get a well deserved
rest and to keep me away from freaking out about the upcoming exams results. So
guys adieu for now. Let us meet again next time. Stay tuned into Drama
Queen...very soon I am going to write a review about a famous American Tv
series to be shown on Sri Lankan Tv very soon J J J J J.
