Time for the next recap....just started watching Chil Wu the Mighty and My Girl they are good K Dramas but all my Sri Lankan blog readers you guys should watch Podi Mama ( small uncle) it is hilarious. Its like Jehanr on TV. It is every week days on ITN at 7.30. Its about a rich uncle who is forced to act blind because his nieces and nephews are trying to get all his money by forces and even not letting him marry:-) Alright let's get to the recap...
The good minister goes to the temple to met the monk and he is invited to see a boy being taken in to be a monk. He says yes that's good more and more boys should join to be monks. I things this is with the problem of Christianity spreading. Well he doesn't know that Anagarika Dhramapalla would take necessary steps in the future to futher spread Theravadi Buddhism in the country.
Next scene: Daskon takes the letter to the noble lady's house. The servant asks Daskon where the Prince is and then Daskon looks at all his stuff and then says he was in my bag but now he is not there no? He was in my bag but he must have fallen on the way here. The noble lady becomes happy again that the Prince has sent her a letter and that she wants to go where the Prince and she always met to rated it( the waterfall).
She reads the letter and the poem is longer than I wrote last Saturday it also has a section on how the Prince is going to kick all these traditions aside and come to her and make her his wife. She continuously sees the Prince and she imagines him carrying her away to make love like in the first episode. The servants watch on.
The good minister speaks to the monk and we see that the whole of the Kandyan kingdom is not happy about a Queen from India. The monk says this is all because the Kings don't talk to the Maha Sanga like they used to before taking decisions. The minister points out that the dead King has ordered this even before he was on his dead bed. The monk says its not time to shout at dead people its time to do something about this.
Well have to point something out according to Sri Lankan history the Prince was not that much of a good King as there were conspiracies in his time...let's meet again next Saturday for Episode 9 recap:-)
