Drama Queen

Everyone sees love as something which is the strange wonderful feeling you feel when you see someone of your opposite sex. Well, I would say this is quite true in a way if you cut the “wonderful feeling” part. I believe love is a simple choice two humans make to live and have children with each other till they die. I would say it is a choice we make in investing time and feelings in someone you hope you’ll care for, for the rest of your life. Let’s put it this way:

Love is like starting a new business in a highly competitive zone, you have invested all you assets and time into the business and if it fails you will be breaking your most valuable asset, your heart and losing the person you love dearly.

So it simply a choice you make when the time is right. You can choose when the right time is and if you believe you can handle work or studies while worrying about another person well then go for it because that is the right time. I’ve a friend who has fallen in love a million times but everyone of them failed because she choose the wrong time (like right in the middle of our O/L year) to care about another person. The media promotes love in movies, teledramas and songs but all these seem to be like mirages in a vast desert. The only advise I gave my friend was :- “Treat your love one as you treat yourself, treat him or her with the same love and care you treat yourself with – then that’s loveJ That’s everlasting love….”

Well... I’m quite addicted to K-drama and one of the latest I watched was Dong Yi. I watched it straight after Dea Jang Guem so I was quite familiar with the Korean historical setting. The story is about this young girl who is from a low caste who works as a servant in the music bureau of King Sukjong’s palace. Her father and brother were killed when they were accused of being a terrorist group. She was so left to be looked after by brother’s best friend who is Cha Chen So. This guy is cute and he falls in love with Dong Yi later on in the story. This story is totally different to Jang Ok Jong where Dong Yi is shown as a Tyrant who is totally against SukBin (Jang Ok Jung’s court name). Dong Yi is shown as a loving, kind and sweet girl who falls in love with King Sukjong and later is named as his second wife and her son later becomes the King of Korea (Prince Yeoning). This story is about a girl in her twenties who stood up against all odds to look after her lowly treated people and stand for the people she loved (especially her son and King Sukjong).  She is later given the honorific name SukBin which makes Jang Ok Jung jealous. I think this story shows the power of love and the way women could stand up against all odds to do what they thinks is right. I believe this story shows the true power of a woman who lives in a male dominant world and what is really touching is that it is a true story.:)

O.k. today’s topic is about the magician who lived and looked after Prince and later King Auther to the best of his ability.  I’m not taking about the old dude who helped Auther by making him pull out the sword from the rock so that he’ll be named king but I’m talking about the young guy who worked as Auther’s servant. This guy is in his early twenties a bit younger than the Prince and his job is to do all the odd jobs in the palace. One of the biggest secrets that nobody knows about this guy is that he is a young warlock, a powerful magician known by the name Emeras all over the kingdom of Camelot.  He has a simple plan in his head and that is to save Prince Auther from his evil stepsister or in other words the wicked witch who tries and fails to gain power in Camelot. He goes through a great deal of pain in the process but then he gets to know that his dad is a dragon lord and after his dad’s death that he is the last of his kind.  I think you guys should try watching this. For those who live in Sri Lanka it goes on Hiru TV every weekend at 8.30 pm. But for the others who love magic, fantasy and adventure I think you can watch it YouTube. It consists of at least 6 seasons and I’ve watched it till the fourth and I really don’t want to spoil it for you guys. Trust me it would actually be a journey that you’ll enjoy.

A friend of mine known to have been single for quite a long time had a strange experience just last week. She was on the evening bus to Hambantota to watch the T20 cricket match that Sri Lanka lost. It is quite a long journey you know at least five hours and trust me it’s boring when you are cramped up in a bus which is filled with at least forty or fifty sticky, sweaty people. At least half way through the journey she noticed a dark but very cute guy standing. He was almost falling asleep from the long journey since he also got in from Colombo and has been standing for at least two hours. He was staring at her and this girl is not the pretty type, she doesn't look at all beautiful with her freaking face and all that. Anyway on that day she had her hair down and all and she couldn't look straight at the guy’s eyes and she couldn't even smile but she said she felt a strange feeling towards him. Anyway somewhere near Ambalangoda she looked everywhere for him but he wasn't there she felt that something was missing. When the bus stopped for lunch she looked everywhere for him but he was nowhere to been seen. She felt sad and the next thing she was doing was thinking of him but she said she couldn't actually remember the guy’s face. She asked me if I could help because she hasn’t felt this feeling before. I told her it was attraction but she said that it was impossible because she didn’t even know the guy. So I want to ask you guys if you know what she is feeling because she keeps on calling and talking about this guy. Can you guys tell me about this thing so that I could get rid of this friend of mine?

Well now again with the wicked teacher.  Recently the term exams were held at this certain school. The wicked teacher wanted to slaughter the children so that she can show the principal that they are very weak. Actually the papers she makes are quite too hard for a 10-12 year old to do because in Sri Lanka the English papers are easy due to the fact that it is our second language our third language being Tamil. She recently had being very racist and she had being scolding children due to their religion. This had actually mentally abused children to the level that they leave school or come home crying to their parents.  The parents don’t complain to the principal because it had become quite useless as she just says that this teacher is one of the best the school has got.  The older children also have being having problems due to her useless mouth. The children recently held her birthday party which was against the other teacher’s wishes since it was held in grand style. She didn't bring a cake for the staff so she just cut the cake that the children brought and gave it out as her cake and the remaining cake she took home to eat at tea time… Don’t you think the education department should regulate these kinds of teachers?
