Adarai Man Adarai Review & Spoilers 2016

Hello guysJ . This is a review that I have wanted to do for so long but due to the summer holidays I was too lazy to be bothered. I personally don’t like this drama and was not at all bothered to do a review but you guys seem to be soo interested. My former post on this drama has 2000+ views so I decided it’s time for a review full of spoilers. I have to admit that I have watched this drama on Zee Tv and so I know what the hell is happening in the future. So shall we get to the review (mind you it will be very critical).

So you guys know that Gagan (Abhi) married Shanaya simply to get Suraj to get married to Aliya. I don’t know about you guys but I think this is so dumb. Hey! I know my brothers wouldn’t do such a dumb thing to me....marry me off to a man who doesn’t love me. However the “Marriage” between Suraj and Aliya never takes place and Suraj runs away with the love of his life Pinkie. On the other hand Pinkie doesn’t like this whole runaway thing but is just dragged along by Suraj. Like seriously woman!!! Don’t you just have the gut to say you don’t want to runaway? So half way through we have this scene where Pinkie wants to break up and Suraj is trying to commit suicide and all that kind of dumbness. Seriously?

Shanaya on the other hand is having a hard time with Gagan as that idiot is looking at everything in the wrong way. He believes it Shanaya who helped Pinkie and Suraj to runaway. So we have this whole scene where Tanu, Alia and Gagan wants Shanaya to just give the divorce and go away. I mean come on woman! No woman will just go on with a marriage where she is abused! No it’s not cute that he pricks your hand or lifts his hand to hit you, its abuse god damns it! Shanaya doesn’t believe in all this and she just doesn’t want to give up the marriage. The dumb thing is that she cares about her mother and because of that she doesn’t want to take a divorce. Like Seriously? Your Mom is cool with you suffering your whole life time for her happiness? Nope my mom is not that kind.

The love Shanaya shows to her mom in this drama is just so dumb. I mean tell her the truth. Oh no, she cannot because Ekta (the woman who wrote this drama) had made the mom a heart attack prone. I think she has already gone through 3 surgeries and so the truth will kill her! OMG! This is so Ekta right? Remember ever Ishita is bloody abused by Raman in Me Adarayai but she goes through with it because of Ruhi.

Right now Shanaya is back with Gagan and she lives in the Balcony (Do you have something called dignity Shanaya?). On the other hand Pinkie and Suraj broke up and right now she is trying to get friendly with the Heart Attack prone mother.

The other funny thing is the mom. She just cannot act. She worries over nothing and when she is worried she just looks at a distance and starts cutting up vegetables. I mean...seriously? I know parents especially mothers worry but just worrying as a hobby sounds hilarious.

You guys want to know what is happening in the future right? Abracadabra! I shall let you knowJ. So let’s first start with

Pinkie and Suraj

In the future episodes of Adarai Man Adarai this couple will go through a lot. First Shanaya will have to close the bridge between Pinkie and the mother of theirs. Secondly we will see Shanaya getting Suraj and Pinkie to make up and look at a future together. So a marriage would most probably take place and we will see Pinkie committing suicide. Yes, you guys read me right...Pinkie will commit suicide because she is ugly...Out of the blue we will also see that Pinkie didn’t actually die but is living but had to have a plastic surgery. (Lol 3^rd rate Indian dramas..YOU guys don’t get this kind of carp in Secret Garden or Suits!). So halfway through the drama we will have a different actress as Pinkie and well life will go on.

Gagan and Alia

The next relationship to change is Alia’s and Gagan’s. All this time we have seen that Gagan is a completely devoted brother but now things are going to change. Gagan will be seen kicking Alia to jail after she tries to get Gagan’s house by forgery. However she comes back later after showing she had changed. Everyone believes her act but deep down Alia wants to take revenge from Gagan. She even tries to take Pinkie’s place at Pinkie’s weeding. Then she tries to kill Shanaya and even her brother Gagan. However everything is exposed and Shanaya tells Gagan to send Alia to Australia.

So after all this, every plan Tanu and Alia put forward to destroy Shanaya just pushes Gagan and Shanaya together. Gagan starts to have feelings towards Shanaya. He even forgives Pinkie and Suraj and blesses their marriage. Grandma also shows Gagan that Shanaya really loves him. During this time Shanaya finds a friend with whom she acts like she is having an affair. This is all done just make Gagan jealous but Gagan starts to suspect it’s all real (Seriously? Ekta believes this is love?). Tanu and Alia takes advantage of Gagan’s suspicion and makes him believe Shanaya is having an affair with her friend. They show him a video and all to show that Shanaya is having an affair but Suraj comes up and shows Gagan the full video that shows Shanaya is innocent. At the end of the day Shanaya and Gagan are in love and Gagan will propose to Shanaya (You know the all dumb second marriage stuff).

This couple of course don’t have a future. After Gagan falls in love with Shanaya, Tanu moves on angrily. She ends up coming back claiming to be pregnant with Gagan’s child. (Nope she doesn’t look pregnant at all). However Shanaya finds out Tanu is having an affair with a guy called Nikhil and the child is his. At the end of the day Tanu has a miscarriage after being involved in an accident. She tells Gagan that it is Shanaya who did the accident to get rid of the child and thus Shanaya is kicked out of the house. However you guys don’t need to worry because Shanaya will come back to Gagan’s house.

So this is what would happen in this drama in the future. I don’t know why you guys like this drama because it is so pathetic. I have to say that it is an insult to Jane Austen’s book Sense & Sensibility from which Ekta is supposed to have based Kumkum Bhagya/ Adarai Man Adarai on. So let us meet again in another drama review ...hopefully a happier one...Stay tuned to Drama Queen for the latest on dramas shown in Sri Lanka. BTW if you guys want to watch any other drama at the 7.30 time slot I would recommend Niranjana (I hope the name is right) on ITN or Mali 3 (sequel to Tv Derana’s hit dramas Mali 1 & 2) on Tv Derana. I have to say I have high hopes on both these 7.30 dramas. J J J J J

WTF Week- Wassane Premaya – Weeks 49 &50 review

Week – July 11^h 2016 – July 22^th 2016 Bloody hell this week was a dramatic week. I mean I was left breathless after last Friday’s episode. So many things have been happening and because of that I thought I would combine both week 49 and 50 together for an overall review. BTW sorry that I couldn’t post more often but I went to the doctor’s to remove a lump like thing on my right hand. The doctor tried sucking the liquid out with a syringe but then he said an operation is a must. So within this month I am going on for an operation. I am shitting in my pants simply because I am so scared of injections. Lol I know that is very childish (hey I am embarrassed!).

Let’s get to the review nowJ.

This week was a hell of a ride. To make things more exciting the drama took a 6 month leap and that just made the whole drama epic. So this week we saw Astha finally getting her hands on the “most wanted file on planet Earth”. I mean she took over a century to get her hands on that file. Even after she got her hands on it I thought that she would just loose it or something. Aditya on the other hand urges Astha to get the file. Recently after the MD said the file was at Malith’s office and thus Astha somehow got a job there. However in the end the file was in Malith’s room.

After Astha got the file she almost ran into Malith but instead of letting him catch her red handed Astha just ran out of the house which left Malith puzzled. To add to this Malith’s mom and aunt meets Malini at the bank. When Malini was introduced to the mom, Shakya happened to be going into the bank. Getting a glimpse of him Malith’s mom cunningly invites Malini for lunch at their place with her husband. Aditya knows nothing about what is happening and is anxiously waiting to get home so that he can get away with Astha and the file.

A tuk arrives to take Malini and Shakya to the house. After getting to the house both Malini and Shakya believe they have got to the wrong place. Actually it was the aunt who is in store for a hell of a surprise. The bitch who is Malith’s mom tells Shakya off in front of Malini. She just says that Shakya is a bad man and has destroyed her sister’s life.** For those outside Sri Lanka, the “destroyed the sister’s life” means having sex before marriage aka a woman losing her virginity. Still living in the old animal days Sri Lankan’s believe that virginity can make or take a woman’s life. So in the general sense if you lose your virginity then you would probably be alone for the rest of your life because “men don’t like used goods” (to hell with the patriarchy!). This clearly explains why Malith’s aunt is not married yet.

After hearing very bad things about her husband Malini just runs out of the house unable to cope with the matters in front of her.

Where the hell is Aditya now???

Just before all this happened Aditya comes to meet Malith. Malith tells Aditya that Astha just ran out of the house randomly. Knowing that Astha had got what they wanted Aditya just gives Malith his vehicle keys saying “Game Over”. He walks out just like Astha did, leaving Malith flabbergasted. Malith however goes after Aditya in his vehicle and finds him with Astha. Here we all get the scene we have always been waiting for. We see Aditya taking off his fake moustache and telling Malith that he is Aditya and that the woman next to him is his wife Astha. After that they tell Malith that his game is up and that he better leave the D house in 24 hours.

Just after this we see Malini running towards them with Shakya in close pursuit. Astha seeing this runs towards her (or so we believe); 2 vehicles come from either side and Astha jumps in to push Malini away and Aditya comes running to cover Astha from the blow (Omg this covering scene was so cute).

6 Months Later... <3

We see Aditya opening his eyes after being in a coma for 3 full months. We also see Malini and Mr D in their old cloths so signalling to us that Malith had left as asked for by Aditya. Aditya first words are just Astha...Astha..Astha. However we see that neither Malini nor Shakya know what the hell happened to Astha as of yet. To stop Aditya from thinking too much they tell him that Astha will come to see him shortly. We also see that Viraj is back and that he is responsible for the D family business now. He seemed quite happy to know that Aditya has woken up. We also see later that both Mr. D and Viraj pasting posters all over town finding Astha.

Malith too gets the news that Aditya is up and running. He also gets to know that Astha is being searched for by the D family.

So is Astha Dead?????

Nope I do not think so. If she is dead then the D family or the Jayasekaras should get to know about it. I mean someone will have to bury her right? I believe that Astha was brought into the same hospital or some other one by either Malith or someone else. Later after waking up she must have forgotten who she was and was most probably taken away by Malith. Either way I believe that Astha is alive and running and will most probably come back to Aditya.

**Also note that the latest advertisement for WP showed Aditya seeing Astha at a clothing store so obviously Astha is alive. No worries there J J J

I have to say that I felt downright sorry for Aditya when he started to have hallucinations about Astha being with him and then just waking up to find her not there with him. Of course the D family tells him nothing at all even after his angry outbursts.

Meanwhile we see that Mr. J and Ms. J have split up and that they no longer live together. I have to say that Jayasekara has made a very bad choice of a wife. This just shows what a bad mother she is as she just puts the whole fault to Mr. J when in reality they should face the problem together as a family. The split had started off when Astha had gone missing. I wish I could mute or change channels when this annoying woman’s scenes come forward but then I cannot omit her scenes as I need to tell you guys about it noh...

What Happened to Sonali???

Well Sonali left the D family and went abroad with Sanka. I have to say that it is a good riddance. I don’t like the actress and her bad and annoying acting at all. She was just a pain in the ass at the end of the day. The fact that she abandoned her family when they mostly needed an extra pair of hands, I believe just shows how irresponsible she is. I am sure she will turn up after she finds out that the D family has got all their money again.

What’s Up with Akila???

Well it turns out that the girl whom Akila saved from the acid attack has fallen in love with him. They seem to be having quite a friendly relationship. Just last week the girl got the mother in law’s approval and it seems we will hear wedding bells soon. Only catch in this relationship is that there is a guy who is following Akila and the girl and I don’t like the look of things.

Lo Siento- Wassane Premaya – Week 48 review

Week – July 4^th 2016 – July 8^th 2016

Bonjour guysJ. How are you guys? I went shopping recently and only bought John Grisham books ... so I am very happyJ. Straight after Shakespeare my favourite author is John Grisham but hey John Grisham is an author but Shakespeare is the greatest playwright ever known. Anyhow if any of you are wondering what the title of this post means; it is sorry in Spanish. Shall we get down to business? Such a lot has happened in WP this week so there is a lot to write aboutJ.

Wow! I have to say that Akila is the best thing that has happened in this drama. I mean look where he started. He was a villain and a womanizer but right now he is the best thing that happened in the show. The death of his unborn child really got to Akila. It is because of that death that Akila started to see that he has been the villain throughout the drama. I don’t know whether he is acting this “good Akila” thing but I have to say it had made the drama more interesting. I really like the way he asked forgiveness from Sonali. He just started crying and all and Sonali just looked shocked. It was a perfect scene. I have to say Kavinga is a great actor. I don’t exactly know whether Akila will turn bad again but I like him the way he is now. I strongly believe that everyone should be given second chances and I believe Akila really deserves one... Let’s just see where the screen writers are taking his character.

Then we come to our ever loving couple. A&A were having the time of their life at the beach. Astha got a holiday saying that her dad is not well. Aditya was told to take her to the hospital. I felt a bit sorry about Malith here because he genuinely believed that Astha’s dad is sick. He even gives Aditya money to buy something for the dad. Aditya just used the money to have lunch with Astha. What I loved was the fact that they kept on acting as if they were Sneha and Aravinda and made fun of Malith. However the day was ruined by the MD from Shakya’s office turning up. He had recognized Aditya and Astha and tells them where Malith had hidden the documents. I don’t know why but I feel this guy is not loyal at all.

On the other part of town Shakya has returned to being the normal Shakya. Jayasekara has come with the MD to discuss what to do about the D family business. MD is very persuasive but I can see that neither Shakya nor Jayasekara believe a word he is saying. He even had the guts to say that Shakya should forgive Viraj and let him help Shakya. Mr J also agrees to this but Mr D just says no way. However later we see Malini making him agree that Viraj should come around to help.

One of the most emotional scenes this week was when Shakya called Aditya. He says that he is sorry and that he is the fault for every one of these things. He even asks Aditya’s forgiveness and says that he was not a good father. He was crying and Aditya is shocked (I was surprised too). I felt very sorry for Shakya because he is the one who did all these things even though it was without his knowledge. He is now the empty shell of the man we met in episode 1.

The other surprise we get is of Viraj being back in town. He hasn’t changed a bit (both physically and character wise). As he usually does he lies to Pramitha saying that he is still abroadJ. The strange thing is that Astha and Mr. & Mrs. D are also in the shop Viraj is in but they don’t see him. Astha just meets up with the old lady from the elder’s home and talk about the old daysJ. Akila sees Astha and spies on her but his aim is Viraj whom he met accidently outside the shop. Viraj just runs off but Akila’s minion is following him. From what I get I feel that Akila is helping the D family as he used to be a part of their family.

So this was all that happened this week. It was of course a fun ride with 2 evil characters turning tables. I actually like the good Akila and Shakya than the evil ones we had at the beginning of the drama. So I hope you guys enjoyed this week’s reviewJ. Malith Dunusingha – Character sketch Wassane Premaya

Hello guys. I am back with one of my character sketches so to make it easy for you guys to understand WP. One of my friends who is watching WP these days didn’t quite get Malith’s connections and his role in the drama itself and I noticed that even some others have doubts on who exactly he is. So this post is done just for you guys. There might be some spoilers ahead as to what this character’s role will be in the future so just BEWARE. So let us get to the sketch that I promised to put up quite some time ago. I am sorry about the delay again but I am running on night data so sometimes I fall asleep before midnight thus making it impossible to post articles faster.

The first impression many of us get from Malith’s character is that he is a ruthless and a goal oriented man. This can be seen by his thirst for revenge against the Danthanarayanas and his aim to put them down somehow. This revenge aim is quite similar to the ones held by Aditya when he wanted to take revenge on Astha and that of Akila’s against Sonali. So in a way Malith is no different from the main protagonist/lead in the drama. If you think of it Aditya might have found a friend in Malith had they met in different circumstances.

Malith himself is a family man as he has two cute kids (Chris Gayle and Tharu) and has a good relationship with his mother and aunt. His wife had died and my guess is that she died giving birth to the kids. Malith of course must have loved her dearly as he has her hair pin in his office alongside an “ugly” picture of her. So this does show us that Malith does have a heart and is kind of a sweet guy. However when it does come to business he becomes a heartless beast which is not very surprising. So in all likeness he is similar to Prince Zuko from Avatar who was heartless in war but loving and sweet when with his friends. I have to say it is a cute combination – Yep I am a sucker when it comes to that deadly combination.

I quite liked Malith’s fatherly love towards his kids. He adores them and to some extent spoils them with sweets and toys. He is simply a lonely man with only his business and his kids (Background music: I am so lonely ...I have nobody for my own –AkonJ). Maybe it is due to this loneliness that he is drawn towards Astha who is a mother like figure to his kids. I have to say that the longing he has for Astha is a dangerous one when it comes to the future of our A&A couple. If Malith stopped at nothing to get the D family business then it is very much likely that he will stop at nothing to get Astha. Our A&A couple are playing around with fire as far as I am concerned.

Now let’s get to who exactly Malith is besides his emotional set up. Well WP history says that Malith’s aunt in her younger days was romantically attached to Shakya Danthanarayana. However the rich and powerful Shakya dumped the aunt and chose his business over her. This must have badly affected the aunt’s life as she decided never to get married. She spent the rest of her young life in temples and doing all good deeds so as to get a better life in her next birth. Even though the aunt was content with this set up her older sister was not. Due to this Malith and his mother decided that the best way yo get back on Shakya was to get everything he gave up the aunt for aka the business. This is exactly what they did when they made a fool of Viraj.

So this is why we meet Malith in the middle of WP. His main role is to take revenge and destroy the D family in the same way Shakya destroyed his aunt’s life. Even though this is Malith’s view on the decision the aunt in concern has her own views. She has forgiven Shakya and accepted the situation; moreover she is still in love with Shakya much to the disgust of Malith’s mother.

The reason Malith’s character was put into WP is something we all know. He is the villain and the second lead. He is a pretty alright guy and when he loses against Aditya we are suppose to both feel happy for Aditya while feeling sorry for Malith. We all know from our experience with KDramas and Wuxia/ Chinese dramas that the second lead usually looses and we end up swooning over him. At the moment I have to say that I am personally not feeling anything towards Malith’s character than anger and resent. How about you guys? The actor who does Malith’s role is doing a fabulous job as he gets the arrogance of Malith’s character come out well while at the same time showing his human side. I just have to say just keep up the good actingJ.

So this is who I believe Malith is and what his role in WP is. He is there to separate the A&A couple as Akila is not doing a good job. I have to hint that he almost does get the job done but hey! I don’t want to spoil the drama for you guysJ. Beware however Malith is not exactly what he seems. He stops at nothing when he wants something. From the way he laughs and smiles at Astha’s playfulness to the sweet concern he shows her we can only say that he had fallen for her head over heels and Aditya better be careful. If Aditya doesn’t watch his steps he might as well loose the one person who gives him a reason to live and that is Astha.

Flabbergasted - Wassane Premaya – Week 47 review

Week – June 27^th 2016 – July 1^st 2016

Howdy guysJ. How are you guys doing? I am fine and quite addicted to the TV series Suits (Omg Harvey is just such an awesome lawyer). Yes of course Season 6 is coming out this July 15^th and I would highly recommend this series to you guys if any of you are interested in the legal system. I quite enjoy the lovely senior- junior relationship between Harvey and Mike which turns into being a really good friendship. Anyways let’s get back to business. You guys know that this was quite a chaotic week on WP. I was quite surprised how things turned out in the end. I apologise profoundly about this delayed review but I got caught up in a really nice book (“The Cat who turned on and off”, anyone?). Enough of the chatter, let’s get down to business.

So this week WP took a surprising turn which left me flabbergasted aka utterly stunned. Let’s start off with what happened to Akila and Sonali. As mentioned in the last week’s review Sonali lost her child. Now Akila is literally destroyed and his ego dampened. I was quite surprised to see that with the death of the child Akila has given up his ties with Sonali. He just goes to meet Sonali and let’s her know that he is sorry (seriously...S O R R Y? You destroyed her child psychopath!). He doesn’t even bother with Sanka (put that clenched fist down sissy! You are no match for Akila) and just walks out of the hospital...he seems like he is in a zombie like trance. Sonali too says that she is not afraid of Akila anymore (how many times have you said that?) but Sanka seems sceptic. What surprised me the most is that Sonali did not go home for like 1 week and Malini doesn’t seem to notice. Even when she calls, Sonali does not talk about the lost baby, which was quite staggering. I mean where is the typical Sri Lankan Mother – Child relationship?

I also need to tell you guys that Sonali’s acting is not good. As a mother who lost her child she should have been most traumatized and probably more anguish. Even though she had no feelings for Akila how could a mother not have a strong attachment to one’s baby? The director should have put in more suffering, agony, pain and distress. Sonali on the other hand simply sleeps on her hospital pillow and does nothing more than what she usually does. Is she a bad actress or is it the director’s fault is beyond me. However congrats Kavinga/Akila your acting was top notch, you were born to do the villain.

Now on to our A&A couple. Firstly Aditya is searing with jealousy. This is mainly due to Malith’s non employer like interest in Astha. This makes him act all angry with Astha and it was kind of cute. I loved it when he hugs Astha in the kitchen and explain to her that this was his house, his car and his money. Lol this was the ever famous “My car my petrol.” speech and it kind of matched Aditya’s arrogant and partly snobbish character. However his words were contradicted when Malith comes into the kitchen and Aditya just runs outJ.

This unwanted attention by Malith and the kid’s wanting of a mother pushes Aditya to rob the “wanted” files from Malith’s room in the middle of the night. Aditya not only discovers the papers but also that Malith dreams about Astha. Wooh! Red alarm here to Aditya and he just runs away with the papers. He then informs the good news to Astha and tells her to run away with him. After some hair raising situations Astha manages to get out of the house. Anyhow their happiness is short live when they discover that Aditya had brought the wrong papers.

Ok I have to reprimand this jump of logic. First of all Aditya saw the files before he got them from Malith’s room. Secondly he had plenty of time to read them in his room before he planned to run away. I mean are the screen writers telling us that Aditya is illiterate or something. I mean he could read so why did he just get the document with Shakya’s sign? This was a serious jump of logic, mind you. WP is just been dragged at the moment. I believe that since there is a good following for the drama the director is just dragging it up until it reaches 400 episodes. Also have you guys notice that the cute A&A scenes are quite spare?

Where are the cute scenes?

If the drama is to get any more interest, then the screen writers must make it more romantic. After A&A got married they have totally lost their spark...what’s up there screenwriters? I would recommend more secret hugs. More secret meet ups in their rooms. Since they have to hide themselves from Malith this would be far more romantic that it usually would be. My advice to the screenwriters is milk the situation when the opportunity offers itself on a silver platter.

On the other hand Malini and Shakya are having a way better time than the A&A couple. They go to temple together and Shakya is getting back to be the usual Shakya. They almost meet up with Shakya’s ex girlfriend but she doesn’t see him. She does come to their house though but yet she doesn’t meet him. Mmm...Destiny seems to be keeping them apart.

So this is what happened this week. I have to say that since the drama is getting very draggy I am not in the mood to review it as often as I would like to. Trust me, when a drama gets draggy I just switch channels and watch another drama. I have to say that Sal Sapuna does seem promising but after the flop called Sujatha I just don’t have the stomach for another one of Sirasa’s flops...remember Uthum Pathum?

Sirasa has the habit of forgetting that for audiences who watch dramas the characters are alive and kicking. Sirasa just believes they could kill off a character, make the main heroine loose her child and have everyone else have tragic ends simply because they need more views. The very fact Uthum Pathum won the most popular drama award, shows that the drama festival was a fraud. Anyways hope you guys enjoy this review.
